Tourist Hotspots Made Easy: Best Car Routes to Beaches, Resorts & Attractions

Nassau to Atlantis Paradise Island

From Lynden Pindling International Airport, drive 15-20 minutes east via Nassau's Bay Street bridges to Paradise Island, home to Atlantis Resort's water parks and marine habitats. This 12-mile route offers ocean views; park at the resort for seamless access to five miles of beach. Taxis cost $35 alternative, but cars enable side trips to Cable Beach.

Paradise Island Beaches and Golf

Cross the Paradise Island Bridge for pink sands and luxury resorts; Atlantis overshadows beaches with slides and encounters. Golfers head south 5 minutes to ocean-view courses; rentals start at $30 daily for flexibility. Bridges connect back to Nassau in 10 minutes for ferries.

Nassau to Potter’s Cay and Ferries

Drive 10 minutes north from airport to Potter’s Cay Dock for $8 roundtrip ferries to Rose Island or Exuma Cays, prepping inter-island hops. Cars park securely here for boat charters to pink sands. Ideal base for Harbour Island via Eleuthera ferry.

Exuma and Outer Island Drives

From Nassau, ferry 3 hours to Great Exuma then drive bridge-linked routes to Little Exuma beaches and resorts. Long Island's 80-mile western coast sands suit 4-hour ferry from Georgetown; rent cars or golf carts for spots like Pink Sand Beach. High-clearance vehicles handle rural paths.

Grand Bahama and Abaco Access

Fly or ferry to Grand Bahama Airport, then taxi or rent for Freeport resorts and Lucayan beaches, 10-20 minutes away. Abaco's Elbow Cay needs 20-minute ferry from Marsh Harbour; golf carts explore Hope Town lighthouse. Rentals provide freedom across light-traffic islands.
